King institute
Inspired by the legacy of Coretta and Martin Luther King Jr., the King Institute contributes to social change locally and internationally. With innovative approaches to peace and human rights work, we focus on resource building, dialogue work, and sustainable change.
King Youth
The King Institute’s goal is that all youth should feel included in society. We believe that the growing exclusion among young people is one of the main challenges of our time.
King Social justice
Social justice is necessary to build peaceful and well-functioning societies where everyone has equal access to opportunities and rights, and where inclusion and dignity are actively practiced in all arenas of society.
King Dialogue
Dialogue is to actively listen to each other in an attempt to understand each other better. It provides a basic opportunity to create a more harmonious society where conflicts are transformed with dialogue as the bridge-building tool. Instead of alienating, dialogue helps us prevent exclusion and give people a sense of being included.
Education & research
Education and research are crucial arenas for influencing the society of the future to become more inclusive and sustainable. We focus on the transition from middle school to high school in our pedagogical school visit program. In addition, we run an extensive academic college program about peace and human rights for Norwegian and foreign students.
